Clever Coiffures

Thursday, April 23rd, 2009

You know what happens when word gets out about a talented stylist; suddenly you can’t get an appointment to save your life. But, everyone wants fabulous hair and I remind myself how good it feels to walk out of a salon feeling like a supermodel. Plus, I feel confident enough in my established-original-clientel relationship that I don’t fear getting the brush-off when things up – and they are picking up – at Novo salon …

Top-Notch Pedi

Monday, April 20th, 2009

I almost hate to divulge this secret, but I’ve been to the alternative neighborhood salons and, IMO, they really don’t compare; Today’s Nails tops my list. Tuesday, April 14th, 2009

What’s fresh in Philly?

Tuesday, April 7th, 2009

Gearing up for this year’s farmer’s market season, I wanted to see what we could expect to see at the stand (Fountain at Passyunk & Tasker) in the first couple of weeks. Click here for a great resource provided by Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC).

Minnie’s Secret

The best word I can come up with to describe this shop is holistic. Tucked in to a somehow-quiet spot behind the new Sweat gym & juice, Minnie’s Secret offers a range of services and products from massage therapy and body waxing to essential oils and herbal extracts.
I’ve been passing by [...]
