the fresh scallions and pasture-raised beef made them all the tastier.
And, don’t worry about the fat, these let off less than the turkey burgers we made a couple of weeks ago.

Chop scallion & garlic. Combine with honey, mustard, vinegar, red pepper and whisk together. Add about a teaspoon of water and whisk again. Add olive oil until consistency of salad dressing. Pour over greens. Keep for 2 weeks in fridge, if it lasts that long. Mine never does.

Pure strawberries in blender and strain juice (unless you want to be choking on seeds all night long). Return strained juice to blender, add remaining tequila, contreau, ice and squeeze of lime, blend until frothy. Serve with strawberry slice as garnish. Enjoy compliments and watch-out, they pack a wallop!

No, Mia’s is not for the feint of heart, but I believe fashion is art and something like a cocktail dress is worth investing a few bucks in because you’ll be wearing it for years to come. Five stars for my latest EP fav, Mia’s of Philadelphia.

Pomegranate Cocktail Recipe
Don’t you DARE add simple syrup to your pomegranate martini!! It’s just extra calories and unless you are under the age of 12, the pom juice should be more than sweet enough to offset the alcohol.

OK, so I threw this recipe together when I was walking through the Italian market one day last week. I had actually already finished my shopping for the day when I walked past a stand where someone yelled out, “Broccoli, 3 for $1!” My sweetie and I ADORE fresh broccoli so that stopped me dead [...]

Jade Garden
1525 S 11th St.

This is going to be a brief one, because, honestly, how much can you say about sub-par Chinese delivery? It wasn’t the worst I ever had, but Jade Garden’s delivery last week was bad enough that I barely touched it.
I got hit with a killer cold last week and of course [...]

If you observed a child going from daycare to dinner without a hand-washing, would you babysit that child? After throwing up in my mouth a little, I decided, no.
