Before you head out for Center City Sips tomorrow, stop by the new home of Giovanni & Pileggi for an open house! After 15 years at its Rittenhouse location, the salon has relocated to a bright, contemporary space in Midtown Village. Owner and Artistic Director Giovanni Mele is consolidating the salon into an intimate one-floor space in order to provide guests are more personalized “concierge” service.
“It’s important to me to be able to have personalized interaction with all the clients who walk through [the salon’s] door,” says Mele, who, along with other members of the staff, will be on hand to meet and greet guests tomorrow night.
Giovanni & Pileggi has been named Philadelphia Magazine’s “Best of Philly,” Philadelphia Style’s “Best of Style,” and Elle Magazine’s “Top 110 Salons,” offering a variety of hair coloring, cuts, styling and specialty treatments as well as makeup application, brow shaping and bridal packages.
The new headquarters are located at 258 S. 11th St (between Locust and Spruce Sts.) and the open house will take place between 5:30 and 7:30pm. Pop in for a tour of the new space and enjoy light refreshments and products samples.
