Then, when my girlfriend and I started our Sunday morning work-outs, we decided we’d celebrate when we walked a full mile by going to brunch here. Like many of you, I know about the evils of aluminum in my deodorant, but I am still torn between the natural alternatives and my beloved, unhealthy standbys. I am a big sweater. No, I am not made of wool, I have over-productive pores. And I have finally come to accept that no organic deodorant contains an antiperspirant b/c that wouldn’t be natural. Yesterday, I came home from the Italian market and realized I was out of pesto, which I planned to use on last night’s panini. I was also out of pine nuts, but still had about 2 cups of pepitas in the freezer. So I grabbed the parsley, lemon, cheese and oil I had just picked up and tossed them into the food processor.
The result was a lovely creamy pesto sauce. Continue reading
